Lexington Field & Garden Club Garden Tour

“Lexington Gardens Blossom”

Saturday, June 15, 2019
10:30 AM to 3:30 PM Rain or Shine

Our garden tour will feature nine private gardens that are as individual as the gardeners that tend them.

Every garden is maintained solely by the owner. Garden enthusiasts can explore the landscapes of these Lexington residences. Each tour stop is different; each garden is unique and has something special to offer.

This year’s event provides an in-depth look at private homeowners’ gardens where garden lovers can discover unusual trees and shrubs, perennials, and annuals that one could grow in his/her own garden.

Garden owners will be on hand and are willing to share knowledge about their plantings. Some visitors go to just experience new plants and see if they’ll fit in their yard, while others might see a yard ornament or something they wouldn’t have thought of for their garden.

The garden tour is one of the club’s main fundraisers and an event that benefits the Lexington community. Enjoy the day and all it has to offer!

High Tea

The Inn at Hastings Park offers a culinary experience just for you! During the tour, you may want to indulge in High Tea. Tea will be offered from 1-3 PM for $35 not including tax and gratuity.

If you haven’t been to High Tea, this is your chance to enjoy a truly British experience. The ritual of afternoon tea owes its origins to Anna, the Duchess of Bedford.

Artists en Plein Air

This year’s tour will be unique with the addition of nine artists, each painting in one of the nine gardens, en plein air.

After you get your ticket for the tour at The Depot, view the artwork for sale, read a short bio of each artist, and find out which garden they will be painting in.
